they will never add anti cheat.
they will never add anti cheat.
Anti cheat ain’t gonna help you if anything you need the cheats lmao
Bruh, all the lack of parsers do is make it harder for us to prune people who can't figure out left from right. But thats all I have for this bait post.
The problem OP, is that you’re arguing against a bunch of chronically online gamers who use mods on their PCs. You’re never going to win your argument in the forums. I agree with what you say, but you'll never convince this crowd.
"i agree with a person who said "skill issue" to a disabled person"
good take bro
lmao
troll fiesta today looks like
lmao lawsuit incoming.
Nothing to add here, I just find the progression of this thread incredibly entertaining.
I never really get this argument.
Most everything you use on your PC is invading your privacy in some way. That includes mods and other third party applications you run with the game. Having your privacy invaded by SE is probably a lot safer than having it invaded by the developer of some random mod/third party program.
It might still upset everyone, but the privacy invasion wouldn't be the reason.
For any chance of an anti-cheat measure to work it will need to consider ALL mods as Cheats regardless of what they do. Though personally I couldn't care less if they did actually do that since I do not mod online games. Offline titles like Skyrim, Fallout 4, Cyberpunk 2077, etc are fair game. (You haven't played Hogwarts Legacy until you do it as wizard Mickey Mouse using a gun instead of a wand) >.>
Privacy isn't the best argument here, yeah. If you use any kind of Google service you're getting your privacy invaded anyway because that's all that company really does.I never really get this argument.

What is however a problem with anti cheat is that for it to be in any way effective it will usually require Ring 0 access to your PC, which is a big nono, especially when we have no precedent for a potential SE anti-cheat being sufficiently secure itself.
Not to mention the potential performance impact on less high-end systems. Because keep in mind, while mod users probably already have a powerful PC the average player does not, but they will be affected by a universal anti-cheat all the same.
