    The difficulty of deep dungeon comes from the annoyance of the multiple hours you waste if you die, and pomander management, which is a DD-specific skill that isn't really what I imagine when I think of playing XIV. There aren't any legitimately difficult fights in DD, if it wasn't for the time waste factor on a death, you would see a ton of Necromancers running around.

    When people ask for challenging solo mode instances, I imagine they aren't thinking of 5+ hour long RNG-based meme runs.

    Yeah.. I would put DD solo very close to poorly dynamic that I was insinuating in my first post. It's not zero dynamic but it was clearly not designed to be commensurate in value. Farming DD solo is 'eh' okay, and the achievement is just attrition plus luck.

    Not zero dynamic but not what id consider intentionally designed for solo fun.

    I'd like to see something like the WOW Mage Tower, a super hard challenge fight to test your mastery of your class, rewarding... idk some cosmetic or another. If it were up to me, it'd unlock alternate 'skins' for certain class abilities (eg change Rampart on DRK to Shadowskin, Edge of Shadow to Power Slash's animation, etc) but that'd take some extra engine work. So, weapon glamour, armour glamour, mount, title, the usual, probably

    And the best part is, unlike WOW's Mage Tower, this one could be made like an Ultimate, ie, you cannot outgear it. You'll always be synced at X ILVL and the only way to do better is to do better (or wait for SE to blow potencies up further in the next expansion, I guess)

    Look at how enjoyable the Bozja Duels were as fights, ignoring the nuisance of actually getting into them. More stuff like that would be great
