Endwalker Alliance Raid Storyline - Contrary to the Plot

I just ran this today, and after watching how it plays out, what a massive disappointment.

Not only does it fly in the face of the central idea of the MSQ that sentience/life has meaning as opposed to the fatalist/nihilistic short sighted point of view that it does not, it leaves you with an ending as equally pointless as it is contrarian.

It feels like this was written as a way to discard any loose ends rather than be meaningful, and is literally the nihilistic/fatalist end point we've been fighting against the whole time. It completely destroys the meaningful actions of the WoL other than pointless hedonic self worship. Disgustingly short sighted.

Taking them out of the picture severs any meaningful relationship man has with the star.

Instead you're left with "hey we're happy to perish, now go worship indifferent rock."

It's awful writing, and despite the rosey tone square tries to put on it, is actually one of the most hopeless and despairing ends to the lore they could have written.

Shame on you square, and shame on anyone not versed enough in the most rudimentary of philosophical principles to understand exactly how pants on head stupid this conclusion was.

Seriously, what a massive disappointment. You fell short in the end square.
