Dragonflight was a huge step in the right direction for blizzard. Which is good for FFXIV, neither game exists in a bubble and both games should be using the other as motivation to make improvements to their respective games.

Season release today! I also wish SE follow this and fix stupid outdated and abandoned content, that still common in roulette (hello smelly CT raids or 60 level raids)

Like all things Blizzard in recent years, I've learned to keep my distance and wait to see what testers have to say.

My gut feeling is that their NPC AI won't be too effective for now. I spent too many years in WoW raids watching the NPCs supposedly present to assist us flail about feebly just to turn around and take credit for the kill after my guildies and I did all the work.

Almost all of the repulsive part of the corporation is no longer part of the corporation. Rumor is the last repulsive piece is scheduled to be out the door at the end of January.

Not trying to say pretend nothing happened and go back, but it doesn't hurt to keep an open mind. Don't make future developers pay for the sins of the ones in the past if you think you might enjoy the game again.

Good. More games need to accept that other people are assholes and sometimes you don't want to play with them.

Not only WoW but ESO also has this feature where your AI companions can fill spots in dungeons.

Also WoW's upcoming Delve feature looks more like both Guild Wars 2's Fractals and our Variant dungeons but better. Especially since unlike Variant/Criterion, the partner NPC contributes in combat and you can outfit them with gear alongside earning endgame rewards. Only major difference is I think Delves are solo content only, but I really hope CBU3 arent just sitting in their laurels and are actually looking at their competition.

Theres a lot of improved ideas sitting at the table and they need to start putting a lot of FFXIV's content features to make bank for them

obviously it's doable if WoW can roll it out as a mid expansion add on.

If this had come out while I was still playing WoW, I'd be interested, perhaps even excited about it. Would it have kept me from leaving? Good question - I don't really know, TBH.

But it won't bring me back.
