    Maybe not so much ilvl, but it's definitely influenced by the lvl of the job on the retainer, did a thingy and capped alts by expansion, but the eventual leveling of that job past 50 still in ARR got me drops from HW so...

    My retainers have lvl 1-15 gear and are lvl 90 on main and my quick exploration venture loot are always randomized.
