I just want to hide summoner effects.
I just want to hide summoner effects.
They could add an option that imitates what PSO2's approach is, a "Reduced" effects if you will
Instead of going from full blast to only showing the importat ones, make ALL effects have a 50% to 30% Opacity, where you can still see the effects, but they are transparent or not as flashy
Limited effects really sucks tho, since it essentially is the same as show none for some classes
This might have been fixed since I last looked at this, and may or may not be related to the thread.
One thing I want them to fix is letting us see our DOT damage when we have other people's damage numbers disabled. It's so weird that if I place Dia on an enemy, I can't see the damage of it whenever it ticks. Maybe it's because the DOT is counted as a separate "source" of damage or something, but either way it seems silly that it hides the damage numbers
I see TONS of comments like this one in many MMO communities, lol.
Am I the only person whose 1st hour in every game is thoroughly checking out the available settings?![]()
Professional lurker.
I think one important question that may be different for different people is why you want reduced effects. Is it because the effects make parsing what's happening in the game difficult? Is it because it's impacting your PC/console's performance? Risk of epilepsy, etc? Or just personal preference?
Because different reasons behind a request can have different ranges of viable solutions. For example, if you're having trouble parsing what's happening in the game because of the overwhelming amount of effects, well, that's something that impacts pretty much everyone! So in theory that could be solved by allowing individual users to lower their effects settings, but it seems to me that a more optimal solution would be for the game's effects to be designed such that they don't interfere with your average user's ability to tell what's going on in content. Etc. Which is just to say that the "why" is important!
Hey cuties! Just enter the following in chat:
/petsize all small
This will shrink down all non-permanent summons to tiny size and make it much easier to navigate around them.
To revert this, use /petsize all large. There is also /petsize all medium if you like a middle ground between those.
You can also just change the size of individual summons if u prefer leaving them at different sizes for some reason: /petsize Demi-Bahamut small for example.
Doesn't help with the constant flashbangs, though.Hey cuties! Just enter the following in chat:
