    ^This.

And I would like it if when we go to the adv guild we hear people chatter (like in cutscenes) and it stops when you leave, and another chattering starts when you go through the bazaar all the way to the lift in uldah. Some more chattering in the guilds as well (these "sound clips" are all there and being already used in cs's)

And I think outside the world is too quite. If the mobs could make little noises (depending on the mob) that would be nice. The skeletons have a very creepy laugh and If I hear them near me without me realizing I would seriously freak out! Can the mobs make noises too plz?

At the very least they should voice over all the Lalafells.

Every other race can suck it.

Main Story, Job and Grand Company quests. Random vendor chatter would be nice but necessary.

Bottom Line: If I can spam enter and it floods entire left side of expanded chat box screen with a giant wall of text ~ voice act it! I want to play, and watch, not read a novel.

Yes, voice acting is nice, makes CS and other S's much more enjoyable. That's why I think its best to keep the Main storyline voice acted an leave the rest to text.

    Pretty much I want, quality>quantity.

What do you guys think? please give your comment, hate, opinions, and generic rokien comment.

Also I would like to see random talking on the streets as I walk by npcs(don't really care about quality here, more of an atmosphere thing).
Quality VA would be good (and SE does have good quality VA). The VA crap like from TOR, however, should go suck a flame and burn. However, there should always be subtitles, period.

I'm pretty sure Yoshi already said that 2.0 will have more voice acting. Other than that, does it even make sense to talk about it now? It's a given that we want quality over quantity.

And besides, a few months before the new version comes out, do you think SE would change any plans they currently have just because of this thread? I really, really doubt that. Sorry if this sounded more negative than intended.

    I'm happy about this:
"MP : Today, a lot of MMO are using voice over and cutscenes in their quests, even in small quests, what about Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 ?

Yoshida : For the main quests and the main scenario, we will going to have full voice over, not only in English but in French, German and Japanese as well. However, we have a concept not to voice over the general quests. The reason we decided not to voice the normal quests is because we believe having more quests is the most important thing; if we want to have an update every two months, and let's say, we add 200 quests, and if we want to have voices in four languages over these 200 quests, it's going to take four months to do the voice over. Rather than spending time in voicing these quests, we wanted to keep adding more small quests but we will make sure the main story line will have full voice over."
