Disruptive Frontline Gameplay

Thanks to the success (!?) of the weekly 4pm Pacific Aether FL Q-synching event, apparently this will now be daily, 5pm-7pm. The good news: since it won't be single-job shenanigans, it won't be disruptive on that score. Bad news: most of these people queue as light parties, so solo-player contributions on a field laden with premades will be even less relevant than usual.

You can meet most of the participants at the Adamantoise Wolves' Den where they tend to gather as they prepare to treat a public game mode as their private playground. I won't be attending since, as mentioned before, there's a good chance I'll get vote-kicked, but I'd be interested in hearing how it goes.

Another completely miserable evening on FL. I get off work at 5. Have to wait two bloody hours because the pink morons are doing a 2 hour Q-synch. Finally queue in, get dumped on Olivia's team. Leave immediately and take the penalty. Wait 90 minutes in the hope she'll leave. Come back. Stuck on her team AGAIN. Then endure a completely pointless match where 2nd got 144 and 3rd didn't make it out of double digits.

I'm actually looking forward to a massive influx of Mogtomers since at least they'll lower the probability I get stuck in these abysmal matches.

SQEX: a "blacklist" should mean I don't get stuck on the same team as someone I have blacklisted, it's not rocket science. I DO NOT WANT TO PLAY WITH THEM!!!

They should remove objectives. Just make FL an all out brawl to the death. Also, they need to cut the timer to 10 mins. 20 mins in it's current state is just dragging out the frustration. I'm tired of PvPing by myself while my "team" abandons me to go hit the objectives mid battle.

They've tried a similar mode called "Slaughter," which was an absolute failure. It became the least popular PvP mode in the game's history. While some players argue that PvP should focus solely on killing each other, history has shown that having objectives is necessary for a successful mode. To this date, it's the only Frontlines mode that's been straight-up abolished instead of revamped.

PSA: Friday May 31st 6pm Pacific Aether FL will be unplayable thanks to the Princesses imposing themselves on the playerbase and Q-synching a PLD "event." The GBR event was a complete nightmare with games timing out for obvious reasons. This figures to be even worse.

I am not one to put my two cents in, or even bother with sharing my opinion but, this is a special case. Everything that you suggest, is absolutely horrendous. And if you put 0.1% of your complaining into actually learning the mode and jobs you'd not have any reason to come to the forums and complain as much as you do. Good thing developers do not listen to people like you who have no idea what they are talking about, if so the state of PvP would undoubtedly be unplayable. Also, refrain from blaming others and worry about your own skill and contributions.

One observation.

It was "people like me" who pressured the devs into introducing FL freelancer and reducing full parties to light. Simply because you disagree with me does not imply I know nothing about PvP/FL.

The battle continues.

What I object to most is griefing, but clearly the issue there is what qualifies as griefing?

You can see on one of your Discord servers to day a discussion of the next Princesses Q-synch. In response to a suggestion (that would produce a completely horrific match), responses include:

"That would be the most annoying matchup for all the non-princess queuers"

"Reddit about to be on fire"

I have it screenshotted. I don't intend to post it here out of respect for privacy even on a public Discord.

But I don't see how this can be regarded as anything other than griefing.

And every time this sort of thing goes down, the steel of la resistance is hardened.

I imagine you and your friends will now ban me from all your servers. You seem to enjoy vote-kicking, suspending and banning.

At this point I just treat Frontlines as a chore I do for the weekly challenge and then ignore it until next roll over, it just isn't worth trying to get any better at it anymore with everything that determines the winner before the match even starts.
