No? I log in really quickly so this just isn't true. Maybe you are referring to how SE processes logins very slowly in batches which it then processes one at a time. Even if nobody is on the server, if 300 people login at once, you have to wait a while because SE processes them very slowly. It has nothing to do with who is AFK.

I loved it when if you weren’t playing, you would be kicked from the server to make room for others.

This is typically enabled at expansion launches and has been in past expansions, so you will very likely see it again (temporarily).

Ehh, unless we're in a position where AFK players are actually causing issues (IE capping server client slots, clogging zones etc), I can't say I agree. How many non afk players are willing to be anymore social than an AFK? If someone randomly starts trying to socialise with me whilst I'm in Limsa, you can guarantee I'm noping the heck out of there.

And no, coming from MMOs like FFXI and Everquest, empty hub zones just don't feel good at all. FFXIV does a great job of encouraging people to still use prior areas and auto kicking people entirely unnecessarily would harm that to no end.

There's just no benefit to it at this point in time IMO.

If you’re not going to be actively playing due to work, sleep, school, whatever… why not just log off? Are you that lazy that you can’t be bothered to log back into the game? Some people do this for days…

Also if it’s because you want to show off your character/glams, no one cares. People become desensitized to it and you don’t look nearly as cool as you think you do.

I loved it when if you weren’t playing, you would be kicked from the server to make room for others. That needs to be a permanent feature, because being AFK for ling periods of time adds nothing to the game. It doesn’t make the world feel alive because you cannot interact with AFK players. If anything it makes the game feel even more empty than it has lately when you see the same people every single day just standing around AFK in the same locations. It’s just a nuisance and an eye sore most of the time.

Yeah no. Removing afk players won’t help the queue. If the queue was affected by players already logged in, I’d never have to wait in one while playing on Materia lol

Kicking players out would only create bigger que timers.
Because those players would have to re-enter the game!
Que happens when there is a lot of players trying to enter the game(server) at the same time.

So you're basically wishing us to get higher que timers with that statement LOL

You forgot waiting to get in, and then having to reenter my house, all while trying to fit going to the bathroom and getting coffee into a timed break. But hey, I guess some people don't have to keep a schedule.

So i dont speak for anyone but myself, but if i were to be honest? I would go out of my way to avoid interacting with you too. Hide in my house, pretend afk, no hablo... whatever it takes.

You're just gonna ignore the bit where they say they're doing this on the break then? So making it quicker is definitely more convenient.

Majority of the playerbase is not going to socialize with you anyway, whether they are afk or not. And judging by this thread, I see enough red flags to not want to either.

Love to see it, and btw op as someone mentioned earlier you are not entitled to anything, if people don't want to socialise with you at all, you are the problem not others.

You have an absolutely terrible attitude of "people must talk to me it's an mmo" , no dude, they don't. Stop being toxic and you'll find people to talk to.
