"Odd numbered patches don't come out until months after the current savage tier" I mean, no, that's not really true? Another Mount Rokkon released in 6.45 only about 7 weeks (56 days) after the 6.4 savage raid tier. Even people who cleared week 1 are typically not done gearing their main by week 7 unless they do alt splits or what have you, and many people don't. Another Aloalo, yes, but all this means is they may have to differentiate rewards based on how close a Criterion dungeon ends up dropping to a savage raid tier. 7 weeks is still rather early in a tier by any stretch of the imagination.

All of these problems are connected to each other and at the end of the day nothing changes the fact that they did not create the Criterions to be a gear catch up system. There are already tons of gear catch up systems in the game and flipping this to be just another one of those will fix none of the inherent issues. Quite frankly I do not believe 99% of the people saying they would do this content if it gave them tome augments because why would they do savage difficulty combat instances that take hours to prog when they can already just brain off in an alliance raid or hunt train for exactly the same reward?
They do need to be careful not to kill off the Savage PF crowd, though there are some things they could consider to make it attractive to the Savage PF crowd. Maybe the augment pieces available with a number of weekly-limited currencies like alliance coins. Or so much currency for a savage book, for instance. Something that would still make 8 people in Savage prefereable but would give an option to those who couldn't meet with their static that week or a PF person who wants a break from trap parties. I also think they hurt it putting it on its own tab in PF. Maybe the Another versions at least could go on High End Duty. That would make them visible to the endgame PF crowd and could also help increase participation.

    You can't unsync it.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Because loot is garbage and they cannot make proper 4 mans content due how loot system is so rigid for no reason.

Update: I managed to get some clears!

The journey was long and the pool of players was tiny but hardy. I also joined a Discord server for organized play which I highly recommend as an additional resource. What a great dungeon.

If you ever want to do it, now is the best time, do not be discouraged by the abysmal participation numbers, make your own parties, advertise on Discord and learn the common bmqeim farm strats that everybody who is into the content wants to learn. Kobe is just good because he can actually explain mechanics concisely.

As Endwalker comes to a close, I bet more people who are bored and have nothing to do might give Criterion a chance. Catch them while they're fresh!

Plus, Square Enix isn't doing so well right now since sales for FF16 tapered off. People are gonna have to lower their expectations as we enter the long and slow decline phase of FFXIV's life cycle.
I'm the first to lament the state of the game, but this post reeks of irrelevant doom salt lol. Doesn't look like you take it for a "side game" from the looks of things. What's SE done to you ? Also long and slow decline phase ? You're clueless, it's Yoshi-p who's stuck on his stale "vision", more than it is a decline phase. The game could be infinitely more fun if not for the ways of the guy. See pvp, where it's clear that devs could freely express themselves.
And SE not doing well ? Tell that to FFXVI and especially FFVII...

I'm pretty convinced that this set of Exquisite Weapons and Epic Hero are going to end up as some of the rarest weapons/titles in the game due to how few people are clearing this stuff.
Imagine how much worse it'll be when its not current content

It is just to hard for the majority of the player Base. That is why such things die pretty fast.

SE needs to learn that more difficulties than super easy and very hard exist.

You don't need anywhere close to BiS to clear normal crit, in fact I'm pretty sure it can be done with full 650.
