I don't think you will need to replace anything.

The new recommended specs (don't forget, minimum specs are far lower)...
    • Intel Core i7-9700 (the little number after the i7 is relevant, which generation of i7 is it?)
    • 16GB (you have this)
    • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (newer than your GPU, but it's a lower end GPU than you have, so being a Ti version should make up for it, SE is unlikely to ever use the RTX part, raytracing, due to how the game is designed).

I replaced almost the same one (config 6700k + 1080) with second hand RX6800 (reference only since it does not have thermal paste) and 5800X3D (from aliexpres, idk it was fun to get it from there), and Dual Rank memory (since apparently DDR4 memory in dual rank works better than single).

The only advice I can give: don't buy 4060Ti, its a scam gpu.

its about if u wanna play only ffxiv or the latest games. The most expensive will be a graphic card and ssd.
I will recommend some PC builds with 1 TB SSD or higher. Minimal for example 3060 RTX 12gb ... processor doesn't matter so much but low Ryzens will be ok for casual use. Rams 16gb+.

I would have agreed with you until I started really struggling in NMS and started noticing some chugging in FFXIV (ie stuff goes off and I don't see it until it is too late to get out of it) and load screens taking way longer than they should. I suspect my beast is just getting old and will start outright failing before long. FS22 I just start the game and walk away for 20 minutes while it loads. Runs fine after that LOL.

Alright, so the processor could be upgraded to reach FFXIV's recommended one, but their minimum requirement is going to be Intel Core i7-6700 so it is at least higher than that.

While a faster processor or other components can slightly help with that to reduce bottlenecking, you will usually flat out eliminate that problem entirely by getting an SSD. This is especially known to help for events with large amounts of players such as hunts and FATEs.

SSDs are also known for giving instant load times, but SE also redid their loading code so that it doesn't have to wait for players to load before you can move when the PS5 version was being released.

Its a bit out of my range but if I cut back on other things for awhile I can pull it off.
This looks quite solid and should probably be around the base you are looking for.
For future proofing you want at least 32GB RAM(check) and SSD(check). 4070 is good but 4060 might do if budget issues, as for the core i7 is great but if you need budget options the high end i5 could probably work too.

I haven't kept up as much with the parts as I did in past, but as long as you get over some general points in the generational jump you should be fine for the next 5~ years.

not trying to muddy the waters or anything, but I have run AMD for years and never had a problem with overheating. it all depends on case and cooling used, I use an MSI AIO but they all have the same concept and work well if there is adequate airflow

as many have said, an SSD or onboard M.2's work very well, and many newer games require an SSD.

if you are going to use it as a primary drive do not skimp on space. my first build I went with only 500 GB, but I did not consider that typically.. everything saves there, such as downloads, documents the OS... so unless you like a lot of maintenance moving things around to free up space, 2 TB would be a good idea.

really, depending on how good it runs now, you could possibly get away with just an SSD/M2 and a 2060 since the GPU architecture hasnt changed
