Playing through Eureka again on the cloud DC and I began to think on what I would like have included in it regarding progression.

I think it would be exceptional if we were to be able to augment our Artifact weapons and armor via this method again. In terms of how Relic acquisition was implemented, Eureka was one of my favorites. (The other being ARR/HW methods).

I'm not saying it HAS to be the relic weapon, but this could also mean this is an alternative...People who would like an easy to get weapon can do it with an EW style weapon, and others like me who want a short to long term grind (early to end of expansion relative) can have ours. The alternative to this would be to just have it be the same weapon chain and have both methods be ways of obtaining them.

As for the armor, I would really like if we were able to gradually keep augmenting our artifact armor. I really enjoy the aspect of every job having our own armor set every expansion but I dislike just throwing it into the glamour dresser after X amount of weeks because of tome gear since it doesn't serve purpose anymore.

As such, I believe that looking at Eureka would be good inspiration for keeping it relevant. The running trend seems to be that we have unique armor sets in each exploration zone, so why not allow us to augment it so we can keep using it? Of course, this would mean that the gear would make us more powerful in these zones exclusively as to not give us any advantages outside of it.

This of course calls the question, would the artifact armor go through stages visually, and should it? I believe that yes, they should. Again, look at the Elemental Armor vs. the Elemental Armor +1 from Eureka, it could be akin to that. Or say if the Abyssos armor didn't have glows at first, but after augmenting it does, small changes like that over time.

This is a lot of design work so I'm not sure how much of it would be possible, but I think it's worth considering.
