    HIGH RAM on AMD RYZEN 9 5000 series laptop

    Good Evening,
    I have been playing ffxiv on my gaming laptop. However, it has been running up my memory. Through task manager, it has taken up 44% and my fan is running high. I have modified my graphics and they do not help. I have copied my information.

    Greetings Loetrgiem!

    I'm very sorry to hear that you've been experiencing this high ram usage issue. I'd like to suggest the following steps to see if they help:
    - Try switching to DirectX 9 or DirectX 12 (If you are able to) by selecting the ‘Config’ button on the launcher.
    - Update and reinstall the drivers once more for your graphics card and sound drivers (The graphics drivers were last update 5/4/2022. Just to be sure, check if any updates are missing).
    - Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything.
    - Seeing as the system has an on-board GPU, please ensure that the game us using RTX 3070 GPU and not the built in Radeon Graphics Processor.
    - Please be sure to disable or remove any overlays (Discord, Steam, NVIDIA, AMD etc.) as they may interfere with startup.
    - Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated.
    - Install game on different drive. (If Steam version, make sure game and Steam are installed on same drive).
    - Verify installation files (If playing on Steam).

    If you do not see an improvement, please feel free to respond to this thread for further troubleshooting.

    Could we also request for a full system report? You've sent us a partial report, but it would greatly help if we could have a full list. This can be generated by opening the launcher and going to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display and then copy and paste all the details into a response here.
