I used this in Pvp, I had macro that marks myself with "taget to ignore" mark, and I pressed it on 1 second of match, nobody can mark you, if u mark urself first.

Thats a really childish thing to do. Dont take it too personal though, if its only happened twice in years and you arent routinely getting vote dismissed or into confrontations then you probably play just fine.

Also, dont beat yourself up when you really do screw up. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time, or has bad days, or just struggles with certain jobs, or has brain farts. I had 2 on my alt during an Alex raid yesterday (the one with the puddles). Co tanking a struggling group, forgot how to kick the bombs myself when nobody did it, had to take over as MT multiple times and then bombs thrown in dumb places, I die, and hit return home thinking it was a raise. Dumb stuff happens sometimes, but often its a team effort at the dumb dumb.

Create a macro that says "Please do not mark me for being bad. It has happened twice in the past 8 years, and it makes me feel absolutely terrible. Terrible enough, perhaps, to even quit the game. Thank you."

Use this macro at the beginning of every duty (and maybe again in the middle just to be safe) to ensure that such a terrible fate does not befall you again.

I've only ever seen it done by mediocre people in DF, never in the random savage PF groups I joined. Mark the loser with the same mark.

Everyone in our dutyfinder here is kinda bad anyway, so there'll at least be a hell of a lot less pressure at least.

I've seen people do it if someone keeps dying in an alliance raid. Someone puts a triangle on them for a dunce cap or makes them target to ignore. It's stupid.

If they're obviously friends, same server, emoting back and forth, or displaying that otherwise then it's fine. They're just screwing with each other. But there are people who will actually sweat someone dying in an alliance raid and I just have to laugh. And raise the target anyway.
