Cloud servers are infinitely more superior than Square enix

Sad to say but this is the truth. They are based in montreal east coast. the fact that is from east coast makes it 100000000000x more better than what ever they did to the official ones which was to put them middle or west of it causing alot of problems to people. My ping legit almost halved on the cloud servers from 160 ms to 85-90 ms. Please Square enix maintain the East Coast location and bring the servers to the official ASAP. thank you.

I do agree the cloud servers are good but let's not say montreal where good let's be real both current and old location servers both having flaws. If it's was NTT or LVL3 they both sucks.

What problems is it causing for you the cloud servers right now? they seem fine to me even way better than any servers square enix ever had.

It just depends on where you live and the route you take to connect. People closer to the east coast are naturally gonna be saying it's a better experience because they live closer to wherever this cloud stuff is set up and will have much lower ping. Meanwhile, people on the west coast who've enjoyed 15ms for years are probably getting a taste of that 80~90 life and feeling slight delays on things that used to feel smooth.

Ultimately what I've noticed has been much higher ping than normal, which was to be expected since I'm playing from the west coast. I also noticed that when I waited in those long login queues, I was never kicked from them like I was during Endwalker's launch queues. I think this speaks to some level of superior quality, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a bias towards the servers that are located closer to me. I hope they can somehow implement both in a way that gives everyone what they want.

edit: After just a day in the test servers, there is one thing I do want to say. The community here is baller af. It actually feels like how this game should be. There aren't stupid slut venues advertised in chat every minute or people dressed like hoes/bbq beach dads everywhere. People have job related garb and they're just chilling. And since solo fcs aren't on people's minds as a getrich scheme and housing is plentiful anyway, people are making actual fcs to do things with with other people. And you need those other people because without them, you won't get much done here. Also since there're only 2 servers, everyone's actually forced to be around each other and places feel alive. I hope square takes notes about how much better this is than the real game but I doubt they'll even think about it. Also since the reporting function is down, people are actually talking openly to each other in /say and joking about dumb shit without worrying about being banned, so the chat feels way more authentic and less sterilized. Yeah there were people early on being dicks about it, but once they got past that, the overall town/dungeon communication experience jumped way ahead of what it's like on the physical servers where most people are afraid to talk at all. I'm actually having a lot of fun here and I'll be really sad when it's over. My ping's 90 btw, up from the 12~15 I'm used to, and I don't even care. I've been doing ivalice and nier with people and even in dutyfinder people are just in it for the sheer fun and it's great. Look at this pic. This is on the test server at like 9pm PST on a weeknight. It legit feels like how this mmo was meant to be. This is one of the rare times you'll see me speaking really really positively about this game in 2023.

I didn't know that they were based there. I'll try and test them later, my connection should be incredibly good if they are. The queues are just a bit off putting.

Ping ~20 ms ping again...through the cloud server from 80-100. We definitely need this for the East Coast lel.

People have forgotten the woes of the Montreal servers I guess lol. There used to be a level3 node that crapped the bed just as hard as the ntt one. I guess we'll see if that appears during the test period.

Just put Dynamis on these servers, I think people would move for the lower ping.
