So far, the only thing I experienced was a brief lag spike while attacking enemies. It only happened once out of the entirety of the last day and a half and could have been my own connection. It's been really smooth so far, both in duties and in the open world.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

I was fine last night but my ping shot up over 100k in the instance server when I queued into Pagl'than earlier this morning. Need to fix that, it's unplayable with that kind of ping.
--------------------------------------------------i play from Brazil on the Primal behemot server with about 220ms, on this cloud NA east I can play with 140ms, this for me is wonderful, it's less than I used to play on wow
I've never seen this game so fluid, it feels like another game for me. The simple fact of talking to an NPC and being instant the answer, I only have 300hrs of gameplay so I still need to understand a lot how it works, but it seems really very very good to me right now
Edit: I live in the south of Brazil, that's why the ping is so high, people who play in the north have 140 by default in primal. Brazil is very big haha
same for me!
In future tests, just for the beta, some type of tool could be added to see the ping internally in the game (as this facilitates feedback).
Regarding ping, mine dropped from around 300 ms to 160 ms. If there is a server transfer when it launches, I would definitely change.
They should also let the beta testers keep the characters they rolled with the bonuses. If they are going to use us as guinea pigs we should get something for that lol.--------------------------------------------------

I pre-ordered Endwalker, and almost all previous releases.
On Early Access to Endwalker... I couldn't access the game at all.
Waiting for hours for the queue of 6K+ to let me in.
I get it and it's time to go to bed to go to work to pay the sub. !*irl stuff*!
Cloud servers With a queue of 3K+, 30 minutes later we are logged into the game.
FANTASTIC!!!!![]()
I have to say the graphical updates are amazing! I live in midwest USA and have had no latency problems at all. It was kind of a pain at first getting the books done but after that it was amazing!!
This occurs on Primal or Aether as well, not a cloud issueServer: Cloudtest01.
Time: 7:58 PM Central Time.
Location: Copied Factory, first boss.
Issue: A red sphere created during the first boss fight remained on the floor for a considerably extended period of time, until a player intentionally ran into the sphere to remove it from the arena. Confirmed via /alliance chat that all other players could see the red sphere.
My experience with the cloud servers has been absolutely fantastic, I live in the UK and I get a connection of 85ms to the NA Cloud server vs the 150ms I have to the crystal data centre!
This made the game so much more playable for myself, everything has felt so smooth, I've tested all kinds of content from dungeons to raids.
Fall guys functioned amazingly also, when I was hit by something, it was genuinely my fault vs how I usually feel on crystal where its a dice roll depending on where the server thinks I am.
PVP was also very smooth on my end. GCDs and the shield ability worked immediately for me, whereas on crystal I have to use the shield a lot sooner for it to take effect.
I cannot wait for the day these are rolled out as this has been the best experience I've had with ffxiv in a long time.
Before people say "Why don't you just play on the EU data-centres?"
My answer is that I have way too many friends on NA that I want to keep playing the game with. This has been the closest experience I've ever had to being able to play ffxiv with them without feeling like I'm a huge compromise.
On crystal we literally had an issue where me and another player were far enough away from each other(P10S) (I was in the middle of the arena and they were near the bottom right of the arena) and we "overlapped" even when footage clearly showed we weren't near each other.
It's hard to test to see if this issue will replicate on the cloud servers as we're unable to test level 90 content right now(I don't fancy wasting half the playtest speed-running EW when I'm too busy being amazed at how much this breathes new life into old content for me). However from what I have tested it's felt so much better and I haven't had any awfully cursed moments that would cause me to raise an eyebrow.

My experience on the cloud DC has been pretty good. Latency is better than average in general. Blunderville obstacles effects still hits me before the visual, but at least the object is visually moving before the impacts; unlike my normal experience of being hit before the animation starts.
A strange thing is occurring now, which may not be related. After playing on the cloud DC I returned to my home world, without fully restarting the client, and I've been getting disconnected ever 20-30 minutes. No warning either. Normally you can tell a DC is coming because NPCs stop moving and won't interact when you click on them. That isn't happening today. I kill an enemy, mount up, disconnect. As fast as you read that. Could be completely unrelated.
