Considering it doesn't seem to be creating new instances for starting zones to allow more players in, I'm not surprised the queue wasn't changed. If they didn't give out MSQ+Job books, I don't think the queue would be moving as it is now.

I have a feeling the move to cloud isn't for automatic instance scaling, but rather so they don't end up in the same spot during Endwalker where they couldn't procure more servers and had queues for days.

Anyways beyond that, the lower ping (120ms on Primal to 30-40ms) is absolutely night and day. Activities like Blunderville are a lot less "That didn't even hit me!".
I am a bit surprised they went with the east coast instead of splitting it in the middle and trying Dallas or Iowa.
