Thanks for the compliment, I'll own this toxicity with pride since that's what you think it is. The only attitude adjustment that's needed here is discplinary action on our neighbors who have openly defied the terms of service. I made a reasonable request. I was given nothing but jokes and other nonsense, instead of a "how are these blocking your view?" or an "are you serious?" before assuming toxicity. The point of the post is that they are floating multiple towers with the help of a plugin or an exploit, and deliberately affecting the views of more than one neighbor in the ward. I may be the only one in the ward who's vocally upset about it since I don't have a better view to look at in real life. Sure, I don't pay their sub. But, they are required to comply with the terms of service, which strictly prohibits the use of plugins and mods. The same plot in another Shirogane ward is not going to magically appear out of thin air for my FC to bid on. Contrary to popular belief, gil does not grow on trees.
Those towers were literally floating in thin air. They have recently changed the decor again, but deliberately left a tower blocking the view of the lighthouse. They could have just shown some restraint with their decor, avoiding this in the first place. Instead, they chose to try and help President Trump continue his border wall into the world of Eorzea. I even waited a few days before asking because of how frequently they've been changing their decor. It is sad that it has come to this. For now, I hope and pray that a dev/GM gets involved to do something about it. It's not fair to those of us that comply with the terms of service when putting out our decor. While it would be less disruptive for them to have the towers on the ground as intended by the devs it would still be an eyesore, albeit a far more tolerable one. The towers would not be blocking anything if they had just put them on the ground instead of floating them. The point that too many is an eyesore still stands, even if it is not as important as the fact that they have definitely broken the terms of service.
Asking for an outside decor of that size to be limited to 1 per estate is not unreasonable. It's asking for common sense from Square Enix. Most players who have a house at least show public decency, even if they break ToS to place their housing items. Unfortunate that not all share that same trait. Even more unfortunate that they have decided to make themselves a special case.
Contrary to YOUR belief, the sea on the horizon, and the lighthouse, could both be seen from just outside our plot, before the towers were put up. A shore plot is not required as long as our neighbors comply with the terms of service set by Square Enix when placing their outside furniture.

Provocative comments don't help the situation. If drudging up more drama out of this is what you want, then go share it on social media. I don't care. Square Enix asks us to post our feedback here in the forums. I'm simply doing my part.

The only one breaking terms of service is the house that had towers floating half a house above their fence line. If you can't say something constructive to add to the conversation, you can leave the forum post alone. It's people like most of those who have replied here that think they weren't in the wrong to begin with who create the problems within the FFXIV community, which how SE ever won an award for best community is beyond me, cause I've seen nothing but toxicity here, and elsewhere throughout the game. Perhaps if I wasn't constantly bombarded with toxicity without a break from it, I would have been more polite when asking, but I was polite enough to say please. Accept it as not toxic and move on, or accept that they should not have floated their towers to block half of the view from their neighbors. Like I said, I may have been the only one to confront them about it, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the choice of decor alone just shows that they have no regard for others when they do anything in the game. Only a moron would be oblivious to the facts I've presented here and see toxicity where none exists. I simply want SE to see what not limiting the tower to 1 per estate has allowed into their game and how people like myself who do respect their neighbors when choosing their outdoor decor can come to view this as a toxic use of the item. If that's not a problem for you, then why are you here?
Your idea of toxicity is baffling. Personally, I find the way you run up to those who you feel wronged you and /slapping them before running away is pretty toxic, but what do I know.
To be frank, we didn't even know you existed until you decided to have a meltdown. And the idea that people should consider others when they design their properties is utterly ridiculous. I'm not a fan of some of the house designs, but I'm not going to obsess over a neighbor who uses it, or whatever else they put on their plot. At the end of the day, I'm not paying their subs and I have no right to expect them to change something just because I don't like it.
I don't typically agree with Stormy but girl, get a clue. Look around your neighborhood. You've been harassing good people to the extent that you've got an entire ward throwing up towers, effigies, and gingerbread houses in protest. You run around slapping people and you lurk in their yards. Why? Is the view of the sea and lighthouse so important to you that you would tarnish your own reputation and that of your FC to such an extreme extent? That you'd go so far out of your way to ruin the experience of others?
When I visited I saw a beachside medium up for sale in Shiro, why not attempt the transfer?

Assuming my gender and affiliations is judgmental, don't ya think? And I already said multiple times that moving requires gil I don't have. I can't just pull 18 milliong gil off a tree somewhere to go buy a different medium plot, and the view is far better without the towers floating so far above the ground that the use of 3rd party tools to get it there is obvious. Since it seems to have escaped everyone's minds, allow me to reiterate what the post is about, and how disrespectful it was to everyone in the ward for them to build a wall of towers to ensure nobody can see anything past their house, as well as just how high their towers are floating above the ground.I don't typically agree with Stormy but girl, get a clue.
