Game crashes constantly, can't play

Hello!
I just got this game a few days ago, but I can't get past the first area because of the crashes. Most of the time it's during loading, sometimes it's a few minutes after the game loads, but I always get a bunch of ffxiv.exe errors.

I've tried messing around with the settings and I've uninstalled/reinstalled the game three times now, also tried wiping patches and did a complete wipe. Switched to D9 as well. I've turned off my Steam and Discord overlays. Updated my graphics driver.

I use an Acer Nitro 5 laptop that I got in 2020 which I fear may not be able to run it. It's currently on an external drive, and my next course is to move it by freeing up a ton of space.
UPDATE: Seems that it was because of the D drive. Feel free to lock this!
