


I don't think this is really a problem in itself, there's nothing wrong with transforming actions. The job action UI is just dated and does a very poor job of visualizing how the states flow - or rather it doesn't even attempt to.



Yeah, they've basically made an admission of this by trying to indicate action combos more visually on the actual jobs and actions web page. The actions spell book is designed to showcase like 24 CLASS actions with 5 job-only actions below those and a bunch of traits on a separate page with some of the important information about i.e. fire 1 proccing a free instant fire 3, and the UI gauges are explained on yet another page slapped on in StB. To say nothing about the pet commands (small wonder they've all but removed them) and the fact that players still often won't know about limit break until someone explains it to them in a party.
The PvP profile is even a newer UI element, but the combos are only indicated clearly (visually) because they're already automatically cycling actions.
The tooltips work and are usually pretty clear if you look at all the pieces, but you do have to read em and make an effort. You'd think the with all the MSQ players read they'd be good at it, though...
