All Worlds Maintenance

Maintenance day is always on a Tuesday, Always around 10pm (PST) for 4 hours+.

This is by far the most ridicules thing about Square Enix, which is a Japanese run company. Although I am not from Japan I do suffer from the maintenance every time it happens, because I have roughly the same time zone being in Australia. So when I get home from work like most people do at around 4-5PM of an afternoon, I am greeted by FFXIV being on maintenance ruining my afternoon. I find it amusing that the Japanese community are not upset by this since its prime time to play..

Even the Daily reset is exactly on midnight for Japan but the Weekly reset is the most random of them all, being at 6pm for me which is when the reset happens but it doesn't benefit anyone.

Please explain to me why the maintenance is done at this time and what is going on with the weekly/daily resets?

There is absolutely no time they could run it where it wouldn't inconvenience someone.
