GMs needed to clear out the Limsa Marketboard area

Seems like there was already a post about this a year or so ago, but the problem hasn't gotten better.

There are a bunch of multi-window abusing bots named the Weaboo Police/FBI clogging up the marketboard area, just to harass the lalafells. It's gotten to the point where I and my friend have been considering a server transfer. (I'd be losing my FC and private estate if I were to do that, so that's why I've stayed.)

It's annoying, unfunny, and lags my computer when I go to the Limsa Lower Decks. I've also seen some over in Ul'dah.

I'm honestly surprised that the GMs have done nothing about it. They've been here for about a year harassing these players, and yet here they are, WORSE than ever.

Yeah, it seems like they've been actively moving around since DC travel became a thing, and I think Famfrit is where they came from. Although now they've made their main home Sarg, and just now they moved to Cactuar.

I really hope something gets done about it.

They are abusing the free trial, so even if they do get banned, they'll still make new accounts with throwaway emails. Best thing to do is ignore them until they get bored and stop.

this is why they need to have a limits on the free trial, we pay for a game that can have its experience ruined by prople with no investment at all

granted a lot of these could be bot accounts that profit off RMT as well, like a unmentionable forum troll that has a new face ever few days..


This is almost as bad as the Firminnant on ather and primal data centers (probably everywhere but unconfirmed by me) that at times you cant get in to for days at a time because bots are mass leveling crafters in there..

they hold the entire instance hostage.

While I don't like it either, what do you want done? Multiboxing isn't against the rules.
There are ingame features to allow you to click through a crowd. A player, or group of players, or a group of one player can not interfere with core functions of the game on your end.

If you do have an idea to get them by the law, I'm all ears. I wouldn't shed a tear if they get snapped away, but I can't figure out how it'd be done.

There is something I would like to say here.
I'll make it short since I don't want to bore fellow posters with details that were already known.

These 'players' with the name weeb--- on them started to appear in my in game home town a day or so after a small group of Lalafells
came together and started doing a concert with great music.

Keep in mind, I had NO ISSUES with these Lalfells, in honesty. I wanted to leave them a nice sum of gill as a tip for it. It was just that enjoyable.
But just a day before the servers went down. these weebs guys just appeared and no more concert. It left me to wonder what the context
of all of this was about. It was just so annoying to the point where some of the players in novice chat were complaining about them.

In honesty, I had wondered if blocking them would do the same thing that the creators of a game I left called Phantasy Star Online 2:NGS
did when it came to blocking spammers/RMT/harassers/etc. The moment you block them, they are no longer in your in game client's view.
Think of it more like the blocked individual was phased out from your view or existence.

lastly: I do want to point out that should these so called players start doing anything that is considered breaking TOS. Yes, they should be reported, and
yes. they should be removed or banned. But if these individuals keep coming back and continue to do this. Then I believe this should be escalated to another level,
as things like this shouldn't be tolerated by GMs and their superiors.
These weeb guys are an eye sore in honesty.
