Alliance Raids...

I had to take a 6 month break from gaming due to work commitments. I've been back a month now, and every time i sign up for alliance raid it's one of the lvl 50 raids. I thought we were doing away with that? At least make it worth everyone's time by giving some type of extra award.

It did happen, But crystal tower is still common due to being the only ar required by msq. Also, tryhard cheesers can still get it by using a free trial account.

Ilvl cheese was fixed and you are looking at the result. If you thought so many CT runs were exactly because of Ilvl cheesing then you have only yourself to blame for your expectations.

What’s the point of doing that when all they need to do is not unlock any optional raid? One could be lvl 90 in full BiS iLvl 660-665 gear and still have only CT unlocked.

In the meantime players with leveling characters who unlock optional raids as they progress MSQ end up being locked out unless they buy MB gear for raids they can’t even do yet as they are locked behind MSQ…and when they reach the point where they can unlock the next raid series when they complete an expansion, they are overleveled again and, once again, need to buy MB gear 10 lvls above what is needed for the raids they can unlock because the devs kept the relevant tome gear locked behind MSQ.

Agency (the power to force the fastest AR in its roulette), and while also getting to eat the cake as well (the power to directly que into later ARs when they feel like to for whatever reason, or don't mind getting it via roulette).

Or alternatively, move all Crystal Tower raids to Main Scenario roulette and the problem is solved. Alliance becomes fully reserved for non-msq related 24-man raids while keeping Main Scenario roulette even more lucrative to run now. (Sucks to suck if you get Praetorium)

It would have to be based on MSQ progress and not level as raids are locked behind MSQ progress.

It's a roulette. You get sent to whatever people need to do and you don't get to choose.
In alliance raids CTs have the highest demand due to it being required by MSQ and the lowest level so it's available for a broader base.
If you want to go to a high level raid, register them directly.

Actually I've been getting CT way less compared to how it used to be. Still often, but not as much. I seem to see Void Ark way more now for some weird reason, though.
