    [5.01 Spolers] "The great escape"

So, after the 1st four raids, we have a quest to leave The Empty. Ryne and I take the little vehicle out. How in the hell does Thancred, Urianger, and that girl get out?? Supposedly, we were really deep into the empty. Seems like an oversight in the storytelling.

Do you really want a quest to outline the logistics of carpooling? I feel like that'd kill the pacing.

I kept expecting a quest to go back and pick them up. Yes, I'd like there not to be plot holes like this. We left them stranded and they suddenly appeared in town like they just walked out. The conversations going in makes that seem highly unlikely.

Unknown =/= impossible. Whatever the odds, they clearly made it out. Use your imagination if you'd like. The skyslipper is always left at the same spot in Amh Araeng; I'd just assume we let one of the NPCs in Yalfort's orbit know that the others still need to be picked up.

Regardless, it's not a "plot hole" just because we weren't given a full travel log.

Why this how did they get back and not the other times the game handwaved people getting back to other places. Like jumping up or climbing two tall cliffs in Rak'tika isn't shown. That's just one of the more recent things we know must have happened but again don't get shown.

Yeah, there's a difference between 'plot hole' and 'thing we weren't told'. To be a plot hole it has to be something that actually breaks the story, that has no at-hand explanation.

The actual most likely answer: There's an NPC whose actual job is to pilot that skyslipper. His name is Yalfort. He probably did the ferrying. And we didn't see it, because it literally does not matter. (EDIT: Also they put down an aetheryte shard in the Empty for the duration of the Eden questline, so there's that, too.)

Thancred likely jumped straight into Savage and farmed Titan for the Skyslipper drop.

Fair point. I hadn't thought of the difference quite like that. It will still bother me but I concede the point.
