Third-party Tools Can Negatively Affect Players Not Using Them

Prog logs are going to be a thing for any sort of hardcore raiding group/static so ultimately if you want to avoid future issues I would get someone to log you and save the link somewhere for easy access. The people advertising for those groups want proof that you're not going to be deadweight since everyone involved is most likely going to be a high-end raider so they have their own expectations for how quick prog should be.

You can avoid this though by seeking more casual/midcore groups for the content but that obviously also comes with its own set of drawbacks (odds are you'll have a longer prog time, for example). It's ultimately up to whoever is running the group to set their own rules for how they want to filter people so you should figure out which way is most comfortable for you.

Another alternative is to form your own group and make it clear that you want no plugin usage by any of your members when interviewing people or try to form a console-only static to completely nuke out the potential of it occurring.

The blunt truth is that plugin usage isn't going to go away as long as Yoshi turns a blind eye to it outside of World 1st issues occurring, so it would probably be in your best interest to adjust to them existing however you can or avoid groups that use them at all (which you can find out by asking when being interviewed).

What static traumatized you this way, lol. I've been in groups where they are more than happy to help people explain things and no one uses mods. Hell you can just go into a learning party and ask questions and I don't think anyone will get angry at you.
