Maybe something to do with a summon from prior FF titles? HW had Alex, SHB had Eden, though I guess both of those were large enough entities to house multiple raids. If they were to keep the pattern of every second (excluding ARR) expansion having a summon-related raid series, it would probably have to focus around multiple summons.
On a wishful note, I really want them to add some proper FFX inspired PvE content to the game LOL, outside of 1 mount, 1 raid background, and 1 dungeon boss. seems like of the first 10 games it gets the least love, though I guess they might view it as too modern

Yu Yevon so we have our own Majora's Mask experience!Maybe something to do with a summon from prior FF titles? I really enjoyed that aspect since it's Lahabrea who is the Mateus counterpart of the Convocation. And they did reference the Light/Dark Emperor thing with his split, too. Then it turns out Athena is the actual Mateus of the story. It was a nice twist.

First raid should be Blitzball. Where you have to beat each team to move on to the final team.
While the idea is endearing, it would be a slap on the face to make a content with the limited job part of its story without the limited job being able to actually participate for its release...Maybe something to do with the Blue Mages of the New World, that way it could feel special for BLUs when they do it later on that job. Could also be raid bosses based on some of the areas that were teased to us by a certain character near the end of EW. These are very vague speculations as I am in no way a lore expert for the new area.
For sure it's something that will happen in the New World and branch off the MSQ as usual, but is hard to gauge what when we know so little about the bigger scope of what's actually there to explore as 'lore installments'.
I just hope that the raid series is truly a separate narrative, because we know how having it so interwined with the MSQ, in the example of the Eden series, can cause continuity problems in the future.
It could be anything at all. I don't think we've been given any genuine hints.
I'd lean toward it perhaps being one of the remaining Reflections as Y'shtola continues to unlock travel between the shards with the help of the Ironworks.
We already know that it is real thanks to Emet-Selch.
I suspect the "gold" part of the name will turn out to be a metaphor for something else and that it will be part of the MSQ conclusion instead of the raid, though.
All the 8 man raids have caused some sort of continuity problem at this point. I doubt that will hold SE back.
