[Idea] Way to handle max lvl characters in 2.0

So this idea is stolen from the Disgaea series I'll be honest, but I think it would really suite this game.

So basically this is a way that SE could give replay value to all the classes, allow Legacy players to experience the new lower level content (if there is any) without relying on level sync, making the game not require a level cap increase, encouraging players to focus on one class when doing hardcore endgame, rewarding hardcore players and not excluding casual's from content (but maybe rewards).

So basically I think they should add a "Reincarnate" feature for classes. This would reset the class to level 1 but retain all the stat points earned from the first generation. This would allow players to "Replay" their favourite classes and grow them stronger by earning a second set of stat points to allocate. This could be repeated 2-5 times depending on how far SE wants to take it.

There is quite a bit of depth available to this system for the game. Not only will it allow Legacy players to participate in more content with the new players, but content could be built around second and third generation classes. For instance with the new difficulty option for instanced content they could have easy/normal/hard mode for first generation classes, extreme for second generation and ultra for third.

Another interesting layer of depth is that second generation+ of low level classes will have a job available. This means at low level you could choose to replace your action slots for some of the job abilities. For instance up to level 10 you can only have 1 action set, if you are second generation and equip a Job stone you would only get one of the Job abilities. Wheather SE makes it a specific ability by level or lets us choose doesn't matter.

Also this would allow low level Job gear that could be really interesting. For instance allowing more then your restricted number of job abilities, or allowing 1 addition action to be set even though you have a job and don't have the action slots available.

Another important thing for me is that with not needing to raise the level cap, SE can "practice" and "learn" how to make balanced content at the 50 level mark with difficulty varied for "reincarnates" making them masters of their content and making the game more enjoyable for everyone. It would also reduce the amount of rebalancing required after new content is released, etc. Also when new content comes out in never excludes the casual player's because it's a level they probably have at least one class of. They may not be able to get the best drops from extreme/ultra setting's, but shouldn't hardcore players be rewarded for their efforts?

There could also be some awesome symbols that display by our names when playing a "Reincarnated" class. And we all know there's nothing better then having a new badge to show off.

This could also easily lead to "Higher" AF Gear available for only second or maybe even third generation Jobs.

    Really the possibilities are endless.

Anyway please let me know what everyone thinks, and add to the idea if you would like.

I think this would really make the game awesome for years to come!!

This is an amazing idea and I think this really reflects the future of the game with replay value. SE should heavily consider this idea.

Yeah I guess you could think of it like prestige.

I don't think it would turn into a grindfest though for two reason:

    1) Most players wouldn't want to nerf they're jobs all at once. I would think they would take their time and focus on just a couple.

    2) The new xp system in 2.0 is focused around content completion. Confirmed at the recent Japan Expo. So grinding is a thing of the past. Might be a bit of a contentfest though.

    No thanks.

Leveling your first job might be all candy and rainbows, but something tells me leveling other classes/jobs will still be a grindfest.
