Indeed, there are no other options. D: The most I could do is play an au ra female, but I don't feel like that goes with my gender identity. I really appreciate you having empathy for what it is like to be infantalized. I have no issue with Lalafells existing, I just don't think they allow any progress on advancing past stereotypes of short people, and so it would be nice if something else did help with that.

Yeah. I remember someone else being upset with the infantilization going on with lalafell in this community. I have heard a common thread of shorter fantasy races not being taken seriously or being bullied. I know some newer games are making strides towards taking shorter people seriously- like balder gate 3 allows for multiple short fantasy race options. FFXIV is 10 years old so I could chalk up a lot of the stereotypes coming from a time that had less empathy for anyone outside of certain boxes... but I also will say it hasn't really changed much in newer updates in that regard either. I think it doesn't help that lalafell are very chibi with their faces (little people have many different face types. Some look older, some look younger than their age- but you likely already know that).

Which is why I keep trying to suggest this. Lalafell are a bit offensive by themselves. A second small race would make it more inclusive and kind to people.

If you're offended by fantasy characters in a fantasy game you've got some things to work through.

Lalafells are not meant to represent real life Dwarfs. They're meant to represent Lalafells. They have nothing to do with you and your real life condition.
