Blunderville - Cheatfest

First I want to say thank you to the responsible people for resolving the queue times, now the queue is instant and waits for more people inside the waiting lobby. Good Job fixing it very promptly.

however.

There is so many mentor necromancers and various "legend" titles blinking in and out of the waiting lobby, it's very depressing.

What is the point of competition if it's rigged from start? It's forcing more and more people resort to addons to have ANY chances against those that use it already. Good luck if you're on console. F in the chat.

I placed first only once and only because it was day 1 and somewhat the game put me alone in whole instance.

I like the idea and execution of Fall Guys event in XIV, but just thinking of how much attempts go always unsuccessful makes me not want to participate at all.

It's not because of skill issue. It's because server delay issue, cheaters issue, lack of communication issue, nonexistant moderation issue, because "my favorite game is becoming botfest and cheatfest like WoW and I refuse to look and pretend its ok" issue.

I dont think you play wow, the second you fly hack, speed hack or anything alike in WoW you get instant banned because of dead zones, while in FFXIV you have flying lalas all over the place (over 150 on Dynamis at night and that's just for new gridania marilith)

I dont think FFXIV has any lesson to give to WoW in regards to fighting RMT and botting/cheating, it's all over the place, while in WoW it's actually dealt with.

How are people cheating now? The only example I saw in your post is people going in and out of lobbies. Fairly certain they are just going for the exploit to go in a solo instance.
I haven't played much since it came out. Is there legit cheating or is it just people being salty they lost?

So WoW just goes by "hey that char should not be here... INSTA BAN!"? I never got why they are this lazy here, literally check for the time between quests, if its 1/10th the time youd normally need, its a ban.

Yes there is cheating, speed hacks and a plug-in that shows the hitboxes of upcoming obstacles (someone posted a link to a vid in another thread). Edit: according to reddit, there is also a bot that does the entire course and something to auto leave the lobby if not alone in it. This event is a complete fail due to the achievement that they added.

Back in 2010 or so I thought it would be "funny" to try a speed thing in WoW, it worked for about 5 seconds before the server picked it up and permanently banned me. I never touched anything like that again after that


Take in mind that was in 2010.

We are 13 years later so it's much better now.

Also lmao at the lala comment, they actually come out of the ground and stuff and start flying around its an hilarious show really, they just fly behind the grand company npcs too it's kinda comical

Skill issue.... partially.

I got my 100 wins rather quickly and am still getting frequent wins because... well, I'm good at it.
Unless your ping is horrible, there should be no ping issues. I have been seeing things to be very consistent. (The timing of certain lock ins is indeed questionable, but it is not a ping issue. It's something else.)
I have not seen any cheaters yet that I could notice, so I guess I'm a bit lucky there.
A major hurdle to overcome is that there a LOT of good players and most finale lobbies have multiple of them so it is indeed a struggle to win, even if there's no cheating around.

Should've been more specific. I know there's always gonna be a Reddit post of "this person is cheating!". But have you guys actually seen cheaters in action?
The way a select few talk about it, it's as if it happens every game.

Gold farmers and speed hacks are not the same thing at all.

And for that you can kinda blame Blizzard with the option to buy gold on retail via the wow token. People are accustomed to buying gold over there. Of course they'll continue doing so even in classic.
