I want to play the game long term

Hey everyone I'm still pretty new to this game and coming from WoW dawntrails new job has gotten me excited to play it but I'm struggling to keep my interest while going through msq and the non of the job have been able to keep my interest any suggestions to someone who genuinely wants to play this game to the endgame stuff with raiding pvp crafting glam and etc

iv made it past HW to SB but had real life things go on and restarted the story and made it back to heavens ward and just lost interest

You probably shouldnt have restarted the story.

i didn't remember what happened in the story it was like a year break and wanted to refresh myself

I mean, it’s literally impossible to play FFXIV ‘long-term’. It simply is not designed that way,

You’re supposed to play it infrequently for small amounts of time in between other games, according to Yoshi-P. As a result, once you’ve finished MSQ that’s pretty much it for the game unless you like statics and raiding (or fake PvP esports LOL)

i enjoyed the pvp i did do so ill keep doing it but thanks for the advice i asked for in the post

so what i said in my post then? i just wanted advice on how to take the story or something to keep my interest in the game/story

The inn room has a special book for that.

You started over, that's the problem, no sane person is meant to do the story twice, it's bad for your mind.
