Somehow Advanced CC Tactics That Should Be Basic

Alright. It's been 8 seasons. I'm tired of seeing the same mistakes made over and over again by the same people. Here's a quick, condensed list of fundamental tactics that have somehow managed to continue evading the vast majority of the CC playerbase.
    • The game isn't won by maximizing crystal uptime. You gain nothing by killing yourself just to stand on the crystal a bit longer.
    • One step back for two steps forward. Not every skirmish needs to be fought down to the man. If you lose a couple people, there's literally no reason to then commit to a 3v5.
    • Hand in hand with the last point, if you're going to die, die all at once, all together.
    • If you're a straggling survivor, your life isn't worth a tiny bit of inconsequential poke damage.
    • If it's about to be OT, your team is winning, and the crystal is on your side of the map, ON'T DELIVER IT TO THE ENEMY.
    • If it's a 50/50 OT, you don't have to throw bodies onto the crystal. Understand the OT rules and what's required of each side in each situation.

Anyway. Please stop throwing bodies onto the crystal for no reason, I still see this behavior in Top 100 and it's ridiculous. Let's all play better and enjoy a higher overall level of competition.

This seems like pretty solid advice a lot of players could benefit from. Not sure where this comment came from. Projecting maybe?

It is solid advice, but the tragedy is that the people who need to see it the most probably aren't going to stumble into this section of the forums. But it's not like they can drop it as a macro at the start of the match like some people do in Frontlines.

Hopefully even just one person with a proclivity to futilely flail their arms in a 1v5 instead of falling back and regrouping with their respawning team sees it though.

As much as I would like to follow this advice I'm not even sure if this is applicable at all. Majority of players are objective focused. Top 100/crystal players can possibly use this, but that's about it.

Nope. Just struggling to survive in the low rank games. I have yet to touch the other NA data centers, and I'm not sure if I would like to this season.

advice? from one of the most notorious anchors on the entire datacenter? generic advice that in alot of high tier games is actually throwing? a 3v5 is completely winna- yknow what. No. I will not engage. Give me your kaiju tier list immediately. That's a more productive discussion. I'll start. Don't flame me if I forgot some I'm doing this off memory.

    -S tier-
Godzilla (honestly if you dont put him here you're inting), Destroyah, Gigan, Mecha godzilla (im not splitting it up into diff versions sorry nerds)

    -A tier-
Ghidorah (normal is S mecha is B so he's A), Mothra, Rodan, Megalon

    -B tier-
Biollante, Orga, Kong, Jet Jaguar, Hedorah

    -C tier-
    MUTO, King Caesar, Anguirus

    -F tier-
    Zilla, Ebirah, Kumonga, Baby godzilla

I'm honestly kind of surprised. The "PvP community" is actually more toxic than I could have ever imagined. Yikes.

For any newer players and folks wanting to get into ranked. I always say that there is always something you could have done better in your games and not to blame someone else for your losses. Focus on your own strengths and whenever you lose a game think about what you could do better the next time. It helps to record things to look back on if you can. It also allows you to see your steady improvements over time.

The advice above is pretty solid for the lions share of players, so keep at it. Don't let a vocal minority of disgruntled players deter you or your efforts.
