I'm a relatively new player (only been playing a few years now) and noticed that two sets in particular that are functional gear (Sky Pirate and Sky Rat namely) were given craftable cosmetic sets that are usable by any and all jobs and roles. I'd like to submit a request that the Paglth'an dungeon sets be given a similar treatment for the following reasons:
1. Thematically apporpriate.
A lot of these items could be easily mixed and matched with each other or other sets to create interesting new fashions and can work well as glamour for many different roles beyond what they were intended. For example, the casting chest piece works just as well for a WAR as it does the caster it was intended for.
2. Additional incentive to level up crafters.
A lot of cosmetic items are locked behind expensive, rare, and/or difficult-to-get items. Usually they drop from treasure maps that are inherently RNG dependent. As such, even if one levels a crafting job, one is still at the mercy of RNG or paying exorbitant prices for the necessary materials to craft these items. This discourages leveling crafters, as one might as well save time and spend the money to just buy the finished items from the market board. Having craftable cosmetic items that, while less unique, are more readily craftable with materials one can find and make would incentivize and reward those who take the time to level crafters (and gatherers) while still allowing them to profit from those who do not wish to invest the time and have gil to spare.
3. Relative ease of implementation.
While I am aware that a lot more goes into making changes to the game than might be apparent to the average person, the fact remains that the assets have already been created and are present in the game to be used by players. So, the amount of time and creative effort needed would be reduced over, say, having to create completely new designs and items. I respect and acknowledge that the devs do a lot of work to make a steady stream of new content while also working on ideas for holidays and events, but I also know they enjoy giving the community things that they want (within reason) and are willing to listen to suggestions that garner large support.
