Even if they were all fc-only plots (which they aren't), a reduction of submarine fcs wouldn't do anything to add personal plots. It would increase the number of fc plots which there are already too many of.

But logic has nothing to do with it because the real reason people like OP are mad about submarines is jealousy. Someone else is making Gil and as a result we need to "level the playing field for everyone" despite the fact that it's already possible for anyone to make alts and get their own submarines if they wanted to.

Don't worry about it, you just kicked the proverbial hornet's nest by suggesting making certain parts of the game more readily available and accessible to all players, which threatens the sense of superiority they get from having access to Special Things only the Super Cool Kids know about. Making it a you problem deflects from the fact that the only thing they care about in this discussion is themselves, lol.

But I agree, housing is an absolute mess in every respect and it's a shame features like subs and airships are restricted the way they are. Making them a more integral part of housing overall would be a lot more fun and potentially add a new and interesting facet to the system beyond simply decorating that everybody could join in.

Also FYI, when you "give it to everyone", that causes inflation, you give a 500k "free" income to everyone, prices go up with it, nothing comes for free, let's not forget the 500k is PER CHARACTER.

I know it really pains you, but not everything is for everyone, I have difficulties following a lot of the mechanics in FFXIV because I just find it hard to follow with all the shiny effects all over the place, so I dont play ultimate, I dont ask the game devs to change it for me, I dont do it.

Some things are exclusive, and they are meant to be.

And they mentioned it barely a year ago, so somehow I doubt it's off the cards just yet.
