I'd wager that Cure and Protect are supposed to be the "water-based" spells, however the water stat doesn't seem to have any effect on Cure. Not sure if it was ever tested with Protect, only that VIT increased your enhancing potency. This is something I'd really like to know... Aside from attack magic, does magic potency for a specific element boost the parameters for support spells?
For example, does stacking into Water Potency boost Cure, Cura, or Curaga? Would it affect things like Protect or Regen? If you use the Serpent Sergeant's Wand (+50 Earth Potency) would this strengthen Stoneskin? Wonder if the Devs will ever post a reply to that question...
