Glowing weapons don't even look good..
Some of the designs are a bit gaudy, but some are rather nice. My BLM is still sporting the Stardust Rod Novus. I think the whole effect of that weapon is rather understated and elegant. Not everyone likes that, though. Some folks like the kind that really catches your attention.
So I'm not really sure what the complaint is here, that you don't like them for yourself (don't use) or you don't like that other folks like them and glamour them?
Honestly the only ones that feel like they border on excessive are the rewards from Ultimate Trials. But I feel like those were intentionally made to be seen from space. Some of the designs are a bit gaudy, but some are rather nice. My BLM is still sporting the Stardust Rod Novus. Can we have a glowing PvP weapon that intensifies for each win?
So eventually you pull it out and flashbang whole limsa.
One of the reasons I decided not to main a reaper as my melee dps was because how absurdly limited their weapon glams are.I actually would prefer if we had more of them. One of my biggest frustrations with new jobs is that SE stopped backtracking all the EX weapons from before that job existed. If you are going to add in a job then you should add the fancy equipment for it as well. Not having that makes fun glam options for new jobs far too limited on release when they wouldn't need to be.
I have the opposite issue with glowing weapons, I have too many of them and they are mostly rotting in the retainer inventory...
In the house you can glitch a few mannequins but its limited and painful to execute - the glow isn't even visible out of combat.
Maybe make a macro that executes battle pose and swaps weapons but guess what - the glow is not visible when changing in emote movement and you need a gearset with every weapon separately...
