They won't, because that is by design. If they supported it then it wouldn't be a 'limited job' anymore. This is all the concept will ever be, and stuck on a sliding scale of progressively less content as the old is chucked out to make way for the new.
I mean support as in let us do all the msq trials. Support as in give more options to buy with seals. Support as in more reason to do the log. Support as a relic you make by doing the prime targets. Support as in a mount for clearing the savages. I mean blue as it is now works. They don't need to make it unlimited. It refreshing old content is great. Just give people a reason to play it instead of doing less than even the bare minimum.

The particle effects on the umbrella are nice, and I don't necessarily mind it being in the criterion there, but I am very surprised the upgraded version of the umbrella doesn't even come with a 3rd materia slot at the very least. As that could at least give a reason to go for it, as slotting another 8-grade materia like +24 direct hit or whatever would be a nice power boost.
This would actually upset me even more. If you literally had to do content with a level 90 job in order to get level 80 BLU BIS I would be so mad.The particle effects on the umbrella are nice, and I don't necessarily mind it being in the criterion there, but I am very surprised the upgraded version of the umbrella doesn't even come with a 3rd materia slot at the very least. As someone who did all the Perfect Blue achievements for all the BLU weapons, I think it's an incredibly bad decision to lock a BLU glamour piece behind content they have no access to and also will never have access to. I'm not sure why they did this, but it's not a very good look, especially since BLU didn't get many rewards from the content that they can do this update either.
The narrative that the Exquisite Gentlemage’s Umbrella should be in Aloalo Criterion Savage’s reward table because the rest of the winning entries of the Weapon Design Contest is there is absolutely deplorable. The base models of the regular jobs’ weapons from the Design Contest were purchased via Comedy Tomestones. The Gentlemage’s Umbrella was earned from Masked Carnivale’s Stage 32 when you cleared and earned its hidden achievement, then made available for purchase via Allied Seals. The rewards structure, expectation, and path to earn/purchase/acquisition of the Exquisite Gentlemage’s Umbrella is completely broken. Why was this weapon not intrinsically made as a reward from BLU content, for players that play Blue Mage that want to enlist into duties that they can enter?
So far the rationale is just pure laziness, pure and simple. The lack of attention to the lv80 Blue Mage update has been extremely underwhelming to reward players that want to continue to pursue this job. And the release of this “Weapon Design Contest winning entry” the Gentlemage’s Umbrella, then made superfluously glamorous as the “Exquisite Gentlemage’s Umbrella,” is still an ilvl530 lv80 weapon with no change/upgrade to stats or materia slots, consumes an Elevated Ester from an Aloalo Manuscript which can only be earned from lv90 content that is gated/locked from players that use a limited job or haven’t achieved the level cap of 90 (let alone even able to survive any damage from Aloalo Criterion Savage if you haven’t achieved close to 660-665 ilvl).
Just… why.
