The difference is when articles are written. If you can make enough of a stir that IGN and Kotaku write articles about "FFXIV players are outraged at fall guys event cheating", then they will do something.
They actually won't do anything, IGN article or not, hint hint, because they don't want to. It's been years people, if they wanted to it'd be done by now.
