So apparently ninja speed buff still works in this event not sure how that slipped SE QA team so I’ve been told by a couple of people and it kind of make sense because I seen a couple of get a ahead of the back compared to everyone else
I can confirm that yeah, a friend of mine went NIN and he was way faster than everyone else, not only once but multiple times
It wasn't too bad, citizen. Another thread mentions it already but I'll reiterate here that the janky server tick rate sometimes makes it not enjoyable.Since so far I dont see any feedback thread regarding the event, here goes, gotta give props when/where it's due, the event is pretty fun and the rewards are pretty good as well, love the new glam it's adorable and the event itself is pretty fun.
Well done.
The soundtrack is amazing as well, for someone like me always turning the BGM off, I kept it on just for this one when I listened to it.
May the stars guide you.
They're doing their part. Are you?

I agree, I corrected myself last page, once everyone logged in it became a nightmare because of server tick + "natural" latency
im not enjoying it at all, im just doing the first stage and the afking the 2nd
I mean you can leech it if you want since you get 50 points no matter what. I've already decided that I'm just going to afk grind it while doing homework.I didn't expect the event to be so grindy, but so long as it becomes a part of the gold saucer rotation after the event is over, then it's not so bad at all. I'm guessing the event rewards may disappear after the initial weeks though and the only thing left will be the title achievement. Just my assumption based on what happened with Garo, I could be wrong (I hope I'm wrong).
Overall the event is really fun, it's a nice addition to Gold Saucer.
At the end, in typical ffxiv fashion. it takes way to long to load screens, display winner info, then your info, then back to the lobby
If you lose the first round, still have to go do the loading screen for 2nd because????
But at prime time today (1700 CST) we only had 9/24 people in our match.
Round 2 went really quick, only needed 1 elimination for next stage but rewards SUCKED.
It's not my fault no one queued, why am I punished for that via rewards?
WTH is up with CBU3 and these insane "winning" achieves. Only 1 person out of 24 can win and they put in a 100 win achieve? That's just cruel.

I completed it got all the points I needed for all the items and got the win achievement. Now If want to do it more just for the housing items I can and don't have to worry about the other stuff.
On the first point, as soon as you are eliminated and see the reward in your chatlog, you can open the Duty Finder and leave - you'll keep the rewards and can bail before the loading screen if you're quick. Would be nice to just have an option to always bail automatically though. If you lose the first round, still have to go do the loading screen for 2nd because????

I think the rewards thing is designed as some sort of anti-exploit? The matchmaking is kind of busted, and I've had two games where I'm in a solo instance now. I'll take the free wins and the 290 or so currency you still get after the reduction, but I can't believe nobody joined the queue in the 2-minute lobby time. Kind of reminds me of Eureka instances locking.
