Will put you on ignore if you can't form a logical argument but argue nonetheless
I tried the actual Fall Guys game, and it really pissed me off. More than a game should. I couldn't stand it beyond two, maybe three rounds. So, naturally, I hesitated before attempting this one. They carried the spirit of Fall Guys over to FFXIV quite well, minus the thing where you can bump into other people and knock them off. Thank the Twelve they took THAT out for FFXIV, or it'd have been an absolute godsdamned nightmare. Having said that, I don't like Fall Guys. I wanted to like Fall Guys, but I don't, and the only reason I am even giving FFXIV Fall Guys the time of day is because of the rewards. Much like the PvP--all I want is that slump emote, and that's the only reason I'm giving PvP the time of day. SE is good at luring people in with shiny prizes you can't get anywhere else.
Unpopular opinion here, but Fall Guys crossover was a parachute, SE knows interest in their game will plummet in the wake of the Hydaelyn-Zodiark era. The crossover screams of, "Quick, think of something! How do we hold onto our playerbase until Dawntrail, the next expansion we had the testicular fortitude to say, 'It's going to be better!'? Oh! How about we crossover with a really popular game? Let's throw a FF16 crossover in there, too, for good measure!"
To conclude my feedback, the Fall Guys event is good! ...for people who like Fall Guys. All I want is the rewards for enduring however godsdamned many runs of that incredibly vibrant, multicolored hell I can take.
EDIT: Oh, and I absolutely HATE!!! the fact that when you get eliminated, you're told you can leave, but then you're forced to wait until the conclusion of the round, look at a loading screen, watch an unskippable cutscene, and look at a black screen while the next round loads, BEFORE you can leave. It's like the game wants to shove your face in the fact that YOU, MY FRIEND, GOT ELIMINATED.

^^^^ THIS,please, fix this....EDIT: Oh, and I absolutely HATE!!! the fact that when you get eliminated, you're told you can leave, but then you're forced to wait until the conclusion of the round, look at a loading screen, watch an unskippable cutscene, and look at a black screen while the next round loads, BEFORE you can leave. Lol, some players will actively deny there even is a problem. Whenever there's a video or a gif file of someone getting hit by AOE long after they've been out of it, someone will always be there to try and chalk it up to "snapshotting," and will sweep any statements about the netcode's/server update rate's intentionally poor design under the rug.
So I'll ask them: "ok if FFXIV's netcode/server update rate truly isn't an intentionally poor design then why is there such a big discrepancy between player movement on your own screen and player movement on another's screen, and why can slidecasting happen?"
It always plays out two ways: either they're at a loss for words, or they try to blame ping. But nearly everyone knows player movement discrepancy and slidecasting will happen regardless of a player's ping, even if it's 20ms.
The Legends of the Titanmen lives on, a shining example of the power of compassion and the ability of people to make a difference in the world. A reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope, as long as there are heroes like the Titanmen who dare to do good deeds in Eorzea.
I have fiber internet that's been relatively recently installed, and I live next to a server with 1 or 2 ms ping, and I STILL encounter all of the above issues.. agreeing with you (oh, and you probably have seen already that I was the guy commenting on page 26 about being far out of many things and still getting hit, even after accounting for what should have been an estimation in my mind of where my character was on the server's side in relation to where it was on my own screen - there was never any CONSISTENCY!)
Lol, wow, that must be infuriating.I have fiber internet that's been relatively recently installed, and I live next to a server with 1 or 2 ms ping, and I STILL encounter all of the above issues.. agreeing with you (oh, and you probably have seen already that I was the guy commenting on page 26 about being far out of many things and still getting hit, even after accounting for what should have been an estimation in my mind of where my character was on the server's side in relation to where it was on my own screen - there was never any CONSISTENCY!)

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
