A single win is 380-450 "tokens" per run, and it takes about 5-10 mins at most, so yeah it's very efficient.

That's only if you win. If you lose in the first round, you get 50 tokens. It's highly unlikely, but if you never get past the first round, it will take you 200 runs to get 10k tokens.

That's far from efficient when you're depending on 23 other players doing worse than you. I haven't managed to get past the second round, so the most i've received is 50-150. Saying its 380–450 tokens per run is disingenuous.

So far, so good.
It's the kind of good that will always have the hungry to want for more.
Definitely chose a safer route in some choices and way of going.
But it all fits its place.

If they'd done more than this, it honestly would be admirable.

but the games are systems apart, so a happy outcome for what we got at minimum.

Probably best to farm everything quickly because the queues are not going to be fun after a while. The race is pretty fun and I like the rewards.

you can also get solo instances if noone else queues or for whatever reasons, which automatically makes you the winner

This is genuinely the worst experience I have had playing this game

I am not exaggerating it. I play from south america and this event will probably be a "slog through the grind and then stop" because there is no getting around the obstacles with my ping (150-170ms with a good connection). Is Dodge too early? get hit, Dodge too late? get hit, Dodge when it's visually "on time"? get hit, Standing where something has not gone off yet? GET STUNNED WITHOUT AN ANIMATION and then get hit

I understand the experience is probably a lot more fun for those with 100 ping but man... this is really miserable
