I've enjoyed it for the little I did too.I'm having a blast, it's probably the best collab this game has ever gotten.
The aoe telegraphs are not any more unfair than those in PvE content. They are exactly the same, there's just way more of them.
You have to remember that what you see on your screen is actually 100 or 200ms behind what's happening in reality. If you can dodge Devour in e5s, or Adelphel's orbs in DSR, you shouldn't have any issues with fall guys mechanics.
From what I've gathered, one of the big complaints is the snapback for the ending. Feels bad to think you win to just see people behind you jump up to the crown.
Also the latency may be easier for us to deal with but it's hell for new players.
Thanks for the thread Stormy, good to hear it's decent.
The only thing I'm worried about is the limited time, I only have like 5 hours to play during the week, hopefully I can get some progress without having to feel like that's all I'm doing.
You're welcome
As I mentioned a few times before, it was an absolute blast when the servers came up for about an hour, until everyone just started logging in and made the server tick issues and the server lag (EU->NA) got a lot worse as well as I am from Europe
The combo of server tick + latency made this event an absolute nightmare and I eventually gave up on it despite how fun it can be, because it's just not right to be bumped by things that you have passed 3 seconds earlier over and over again or see people just win right in front of your face as you actually reach the crown first on your screen.
Big waste of potential, but a good show of this game's terrible netcode, still the event itself (without the server tick issues) remains fun.
Maybe this will actually be a small blessing, with Materia's overall lack of population....

Had a round where the server literally didn't queue a single other person with me. Easy win.
Well, played one.
- 6 minute+ queue time
- 2 MORE minutes waiting for reasons?
- 2 minutes of trying to figure out wtf is going on
50 points.

100 wins is a ridiculous ask given the limited time frame. 100 round wins + 1 overall win might have been more reasonable.
The sheer amount of points you're going to get by getting 100 wins is probably more than enough to buy everything in the shop dozens of times over.
Presentation and visuals are really good. Very frustrating to actually play it though, thought it might just be my experience playing from a backwater country with poor internet infrastructure but lots of people seem to be having similar issues. The swinging balls and crystal carrying stuff is particularly bad. Variety is also lacking, gets old fast with only 5 maps.

For me the parts that I don't like the crystal carrying part especially trying to get the blue crystals of that sucks. Most the blue patch followed by red. The misdirection/forced march I don't like when trying to get the arrow the right spot. Then 3rd round the AoE hitting you even when your not in it. Other then that not too bad.
