    The data from these tomeliths can be collected by attacking them, and once they are destroyed, data will be rewarded to each Grand Company based on the amount of damage inflicted.

    Collecting data, by destroying it...Sounds questionable.

    They could make a zone that needs to be claimed after destruction. Or spawn several items that need to be grabbed for points. Or add necessity to transport/escort the data to base zone (like 'capture the flag'- type PvP - a tank picks it up and gets defended by team, but cant mount up, while the other teams try to steal it). Just something that encourages PvP...

    I disagree. At least that map forced pvp. With the new shatter map some groups just stay on the small ice near their base and never move. Not only it guarantees a loss but it is extremely boring.

    folks rather hit small ice and be anywhere else BUT the big ice spawns and wonder why the team is 3rd with low score

    This entire map needs to be redesigned. Feels awful to play even when winning. Too much PVE focus. Maybe lower small ice points? also make them spawn less frequently and in areas designed to encourage...you know PVP?

    Yes please. Pacifist PvP feels really bad. I already miss the old map.

    Alternatively, be the leader of the pack & do the callouts to wipe the ignorant mass that is ice lickers for an easy win lol.

    Then again, goodluck in convincing the mass to do that XD

    I've been noticing that players tend to be very unobservant when attacking the ice in this new shatter map, so I tried a little experiment the other day, I shot a Toxikon into a group of people hitting the big ice and then dropped a SGE LB on them and walked away, I got a kill a few seconds later.

    I guess this map is really popular with the PvE players.

    After some thought, I realize the only part about it like is the removal of the capturable home ice, resulting in no more annoying lone Ninjas or Monk goon squads dedicating their entire match to harassing your spawn and distracting half of your team (which mattered a lot more in the old map due to it being larger than post-rework. Any player futzing around playing grabass in spawn with a Ninja would have taken a lot longer to get to where they were needed back then). And it also means people aren't just afk'ing on the ice with the "I'm protecting home" excuse... not that that stops people even now, honestly.

    Aside from that, there really wasn't a good reason to remove the counter-clockwise ramp from every base. Replacing it with the cliff doesn't add any opportunities for a team to make a play against another team, it just introduces a new "Oh well, better luck on next spawn *shrug*" situation at best, and at worst your entire team just dove off the cliff into a blender and you just lost 200 points in deaths. Smartly focusing small ice when you can't get a big can keep you in the game, but only whenever the fickle rng gods bless you, and the fact that they now respawn means you can't plan around where you'll need to be later in the match, which isn't great.

    Like most things that end up being course-corrected in this game, the changes were heavy-handed.

    Anyway... drop Frontlines to 48 players and remove rng objectives, Yoshida.
