Game won't login to server.

I login then brings up main menu then I hit start game and just get endless loading circle. Game won't login past the main menu. Is there a DDOS attack going on that's keeping it from loading? Finaly after 12 minutes of waiting it went to the character screen menu.

- Are there other programs being used when running FFXIV?:
- What data center and server/world were you trying to connect to?:
- What is the ISP and what region/country are you connecting from?:
