[Absurdity]

Since I was bored to death in XIV and Dragonflight was on sale at the time I actually picked up WoW again after 6 years. The current expansion is pretty enjoyable tbh, no borrowed power nonsense, fun talent trees (with mutiple competitive options), a whole lot of gear catchup systems, reputation grinds pretty much only reward cosmetics and I've had a lot more fun with the dragon riding mechanic than I expected. I haven't really felt "forced" to do anything outside of maybe 5 weekly timewalking dungeons for a piece of heroic raid gear and that's only because I'm playing it extremely casually.

Sure you still have some annoyances like story quests being locked behind renown rank and some features (like the Revival Catalyst for turning gear into class tier set items) being timegated for seemingly no good reason, but I didn't expect them to completely change their ways within a single expansion.
