Viper would of been better if it had a different name

All the defenders ignore that viper is still the name of an animal. "We have 5 vipers with us". The job or actual snakes?

Such never hurt Guardian Druids or BMs. Never seen anyone wonder whether the "bear" is a pet or player (Guardian), or the latter is a ranged DPS (Beast Masters) or flatulence/rudeness.

If red mage was brand new now, people would be complaining about how unimaginative another "colour mage" is and how it makes no sense that black+white magic = red, and they should have called it something that conveys the job better.

Ngl, Red Mage would probably have a lot more cred with (and perceivable lore/world-building depth to) some folks if there were actually a legitimate explanation for why white magic + black mage = red magic.

I like the thought of the class but I think when people say creative they are being disingenuous (or aren't very creative to start with). It feels too literal animal and not actually the slightest bit esoteric. Earlier in the thread I suggested "Twin-Fang" (Feels less literal while still keeping the vague animal reference) and if they really want to go with something venomous could have gone with "Venomic" (A bit more obscure)
