Viper is better than Hunter. But again, I dont know what else they can call it considering it seems that the job will be implementing some poison abilities due to the snake concept of the job.See Viper isn't a good name for that either, though. It might describe half of the class (the separate swords stance), but has almost nothing to do with its central gimmick (combined sword-staff). Whirlwinding doesn't feel remotely viperish.
At least Hunter communicates that this is both a dual-sword wielder and a staff wielder. And yes, I do think that setting traps or summoning other weapons would have synergizes far better with both a Hunter fantasy and a Zidane fantasy, than...whatever shallow idea Viper is. At least trap-laying and multiple weapons would carve a more distinct "Scouting" identity that is *distinct* from Ninja, rather than trying to repeat virtually the same fantasy just without mudra spells.
I do agree that, with the job as shallow and snake-obsessed as it is, Hunter is not a great name for its current form. But the form factor really sucks on this job and it should have stuck with a Hunter archetype instead of being a lame snake-assassin-thing.
