Might as well forget about XIV until (the end of) August, nothings happenings. And sadly, a lot of will be drowned by the release of GW2, (in the media, not to any of you here, but to everyone else).

Things not looking good so far! Can only hope.

Nothing will get drowned out >__>, people (you included) keep saying this everytime an MMO is localized or newly released and yet sites still made notice of XIV's E3's media package despite 2-3 MMOs being released since it launched, Tera being the newest for NA.

You misread me, TERA and the other MMOs did not release same time as XIV,

What I am saying is XIV is trying to PUSH into the industry and INFORM EVERYONE about all its glory, the same time GW2 is releasing and will be doing it (plus WOW will be close to MOP and be also pushing).

Everyones fighting for the spot-light at the same time - same month. Read before you mistake.

2.0 isn't releasing in September... SE has the whole Winter 2012 to hype the game.

She said "SINCE LAUNCH" That means
"Ever since FFXIV launched years back, new MMOs have been released in it's stead" Nowhere did she say these mmos have been released at the same time as FFXIV (And to correct Elexia, PSO2 is the newest to be released yesterday *Technically* atm it's only in JP, but I'm currently playing it as I type)

Think Yoshi forgot to send the memo to release a flood of information XD. Seems like they forgot to update the auto-news to release a flood of information and instead it's releasing the site as originally intended as if we already got the trailer. Kinda odd, there's still tomorrow though so perhaps there will be some news then though I Guess we can at least be happy they finally made not of the site on the main page so we can look forward to the trickle of information arriving XD. Oh trickle how long til we know about the DOL/DOH changes?

It's more like the end of July. Sure GW2 is coming out but for the current community we have a lot of unknown things to look for as we arrive closer to the climax of the 7th Umbral story lol. With only 2-3 months to complete said storyline I'm sure people who are currently playing 14 will put aside GW2 to be sure to complete it XD.

Exactly, multiple companies are up to stuff (including non-major studios) so nothing will be drowned out, everyone is aware of XIV being remade and relaunched plus it's Titled Final Fantasy, no FF game flies under the radar just like that, not even 'Mystic Quest' back in the day.

Like I (and many others who play MMO) say, new MMOs have a fresh car smell, it's when it wears off (and it will) does it prove if the MMO is good or not. Remember, people kept saying Rift was the next best thing and no other MMO need to try to compete or release after it.

Even though I have little faith in 2.0 simply from a design standpoint trying to make it "standard" it's not going to be flooded out, being on the console as well also gives it another notch above WoW's expansion or a reiteration of a lobby MOG.
