Broke down and used a Fantasia to change my voice (one battle-line was becoming particularly grating) and to adjust my WoL's skintone slightly lighter just to have a better chance in MSQ cutscene lighting even though ideally I wish I would not have to resort to that. The lack of more than one light source is what makes the Rising Stones and other locales miserable- and I did chuckle at how the first screenshot of the updated lighting system was the part of Sharlayan where one does the DoL/H role quests, because the BOT/MIN questline in particular was one where my character in every scene looked unusually horrendous. I expect bad light in dim locales, but that stood out.
I have to hope that a reason Erenville was chosen besides his player base popularity was that including his model in more MSQ cutscenes was an easy and efficient way for the team to check the range of character lighting.
they did a dark skinned male highlander so far.

Gosh darn it. This is it. This comment right here. This is why I hate the woke mentality because now we have stupid people like that believing that anything non-white is just an agenda now.
