There's no way they'd leave eye patches out of the EYE/FACE slot.
Wait....this is SE we're talking about..

It seems that to start their converting across the ones that already exist under fashion accessories, it's not an actual gear slot you see. The intent seems to be be to add more over time and the fact that they are referring to it as "face wear"/"Face Accessories" makes it feel a safe bet they have things like eyepatchs and masks planned to add to it.
I mean, it makes total sense to use the fashion accessory slot to make this work.
It makes no sense for there to only be 4 glasses options when there are dozens of in-game gear pieces that qualify as glasses. I get that they will add more later, but it seems like some more should have been added to roll out this new system. Throw a half dozen various glasses and eyepatches up for cheap on the MGP vendor.
It just seems very lacking at the moment.
It would've taken a lot more work, but it would've been nice if all the current glasses/eyepatches currently on the headgear was moved to the face slot instead of using fashion accessories. The fact fashion accessories can't be dyed and there's only a handful of them makes it feel a bit limited.
Also it's gonna be silly having glasses for headwear and another pair for eyewear.
It could be worse
This is how glasses look on viera

Joke aside, I want to wear the blindfolds and masks with Headgear that can have it.
While the topic was mostly easy to implement things.
And I understand "These things, They take time" ~Some GabeN Guy
I hope they at least let us know in the nearish future, what else will also be added.
I just prefer blindfolds, and would like to use Caps or MouthCover/Masks with said folds. for more glamour options
I wonder if this might be handled by what they said about the face accessories not displaying if you wear a head piece that covers the face. Most people thought of helmets and head replacers but it might be simply if the head slot appearance and face accessories conflict it'll just not show the accessory.
Even if it didn't it'd be easy enough to fix by heading your head slot or removing the face accessory, but given they tech is already able to hide the accessory based on head slot appearance, I doubt they'd leave two pairs of glasses clipping into each other.
Looks like I'm still going to use the elegant rimless glasses as the selection is still really bad.
