[Graphic Update Feedback] Female Roegadyn Eyes

Wanted to chime in with my support.

The new eyes do look lovely, and if it was OPTIONAL I wouldn't have any complaints. I think that more options is always good, but I have a few characters whose eyes I did pick for the pale pupils and I would hate to see that change! I love femroe, and I'd hate to see any of their uniqueness lost.

Sorry, I wanted to chime in one more time to add that, after looking, this effect appears to be on male Keeper of the Moon eyes to the exact same degree as female Roegadyn eyes. Their pupil color changes very noticeably, especially since they're so large (female Keepers have a lesser effect like the other races I mentioned earlier, but it's definitely still there for them, too). Just thought I'd mention in case any male Keeper players also care about this impression on their characters, since this change to female Roegadyn will more than likely apply to them as well.

+1 to this, I love my female Roe Alt, and her eyes are lovely. The coloured pupils give such a nice soft look and it would be sad to have it removed, even if the black pupils do look very lovely.

Since this was clearly not looked into for the benchmark, I'd just like to note that I still do not like the new eyes and am very disappointed that they changed them anyways.

Big agree on OP's point for the eyes. I knew something was off about my femroes I just couldn't put my finger on it!

I was looking for a thread specifically about the eyes. The extra black being added to Indra's eyes makes her look like she's trying to roll her eyes into the back of her head. It's uncanny and really weird to look at.

Her color being washed out is another issue, but I can fix that by turning down the gamma. I can't fix her eyes looking like she's halfway into a demonic possession.

This is definitely a strange change to make. I hope it becomes an option to keep the jewel-like eyes.

I have to chime in as well, even though it's probably too little too late for anything to be done about it. The eyes got seriously messed up on my Hellsguard character. The white of the eyeballs is far too bright, the eye glint (shininess) is far too small and subtle, the baked-in shadow at the top is too strong,and the pupils are messed up like you described.

It's really disappointing and has really soured me on the graphics update.

I think femroes got hit hard by this update. There's so many things that changed with them that were unique and interesting prior to Dawntrail. I will probably be fridging my femroe alt for a while, personally.

• Colored pupils are gone
• Lip makeup is way off*
• The eye makeup is a miss

* I go into a LOT of detail on this point in this thread, but essentially it seems every single face+race now uses the exact same lip makeup application, just stretched to fit their mouth. So everyone's lip makeup is now objectively no longer unique to them, and I think we can all agree that what this game's character creator shouldn't have is excessive homogenization across races.

Much like Dunesfolk, femroe's colored pupils is a defining feature. Replacing them with generic eyes makes them less distinct and interesting as a racial choice.

Caesius' post did a great job in outlining the differences that hit femroes this update. I would love to see the jeweled pupils return, and the makeup shape change to better suit the mouth. Besides that, I have no other notes. If the devs read this, thank you for your time!
